STRONG TOGETHER

The Fachverband Werkzeugindustrie e.V. (FWI) is the association of tool manufacturers in Germany and thus the central representation of interests for companies in the industry. We currently support around 150 member companies. The German tool industry generated a total turnover of over EUR 4.7 billion and employed more than 32,000 employees in 2020.

Quality Made in Germany – The Association Trademark of the FWI

Whether professional or do-it-yourselfer – with tool and fastening technology “Made in Germany” you rely on quality and reliability in many centuries of tradition. FWI member companies can use the FWI trademark “Deutsches Werkzeug – made in Germany” (German Tool – made in Germany) for their tools manufactured in Germany. More than 35 companies already award their products with our seal of origin. In cooperation with the Competition Centre, the FWI also pursues the abusive use of this advertising statement.

Strong performance for a strong industry

The FWI supports its members with a wide range of services and numerous offers for professional exchange. In addition, numerous sections and sub-associations of the FWI ensure that the interests of each product category are optimally represented. In addition, the FWI supports the Association of German Brush and Brush Manufacturers e.V. (VDPB) and is an active member of the European umbrella association Comité Européen de l’Outillage (CEO).
